WE. ARE. EC: RESH BDAY!!

Perhaps the best birthday of my life. It all started at 11.50 pm, 5th February 2009. Yeah I know its 10 minutes early. Thiva called and lingered on the phone with till the clock struck 12 and wished me, making her the first person to wish me for my bday! Then it was followed by a Divi who thought I wanted to decline her the number 1 spot. I feel honoured when thinking all this. Enough enough.. Followed by Kavij who just celebrated his own bday with the likes of Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo a day before. Then my bro and Satish called!! So happy to hear from them and RMC too. Finally it was Navinthira. I had so many messages flooding in. when I checked, it was Thiva again who sent me bday wish at exactly 12am. WOW. I was very happy when I slept at 2, at same time last year, only my bro messaged me to wish me other than my family at midnight.

7.30am. So I went to see my teacher advisor to talk about club issues, and that’s when I saw an old friend. Vinesh Nair. Very nice guy and I found that he has been working out. Soon he is gonna look like Batista no doubt. I walked him to the office catching up and all and that’s when I got my first bday gift. A crossover t-shirt from Parveet! How cool is that! J Teachers are having meeting till 8 something and it was already 7.45am. I entered the block and Naga rushed me upstairs. Oh yeah, I thought they were gonna sing me a bday song. But much to my delight, the whole third floor block ushered me to my class which was locked and dark inside. I waited a while.. then they let me in. It was such a great feeling t see a cake for your bday provided by the class and the whole block standing there singing and clapping for you. OMG! I was almost reduced to tears. Simply love them all. ;-( After eating, I realized I had so many gifts on my table. Maybe its little to some ppl, but for me that’s a lot cause I never gotten this much gifts from friends before! Pam got me Mc D bfast, The class gave me a super cool pencil case, Veno gave me United football, 4 Bday Cards, and a heavy wrapped gift from Alaga. I cut the cake and we ate it. Sad part was, Raj and Jpj weren’t there with me to watch all of this to happen. Oh well…
The day was going great. I arranged for an Interact meeting just after school scheduled at 12.30. At 12.20 Vice President Navin came and told me that teacher wanted to meet me and himself for some reason. Hence I walked with him all the way back to staff room. Upon reaching there, he confessed to me he was lying and he just wanted to have some fresh air cause he was sweating. Infuriated cause ive always stressed on punctuality during meeting, so I started making my way back to the class. That’s when Divi tripped me, Roshini squeaked that I was coming and Mogan ran ahead of me. I cant let this happen. So I ran after Mogan but then there were more obstacles to come. Naga stopped me and Riithra too. Then after a while, Dv and Roshini all caught up with me at the stairs. Riithra then blurted out that its probably obvious that I know of their intentions. But honestly, that’s exactly when it struck me ;-) Chen gave the thumbs up and I rushed back to my class… Yeah you guess it.. They planned another one for me!! AWWWW…. SO sweeeeettttt… This time, instead of a bday cake, I got something better. But what isit? What could be better than a cake for a bday? If u know Resh then u know its BURGERS!! One Double Cheeseburger, one Quarter Pounder, one Mc Chicken, fries and a large coke! I was outta this world!! My members than sang me the song. I got gift from Thiva and Kheeshaa my two sis and a lovely bday card by the rest. No bday is complete without a traditional EC style 3-4. And I happily took it.

So I dropped by at the bank to withdraw some money with Chen and Navin and we had some fun talking crap about robbing the bank in a very silly method. Raj, Alaga and Guppy then further bought me another gift. I was walking around with so many bags of gifts and I just couldn’t believe how great the day has been so far. I had tuition and it ended at 6.45pm. After that, I treated my tuition mates, Raj, Guppy, Alaga and Kishel to my favourite food, Ramly burger. Each took a double chicken while Kishel took a special. After chilling for some time, we headed home.

I reached home at 8.50pm. No one was home except for my younger bro and my grandparents. But minutes later, my aunt and cousins came. Yeah, a cake from Secret Recipe was accompanying them! J SO so so happy. Lets do it again, hit the famous song! The cake was lovely. And my aunt bought me a Polo watch. I spoke on the phone for a while since I had few hours left on my Maxis bday rewards. Finally the day concluded in emphatic fashion as Shan called me at 11.59 to wish me before the clock struck midnight. Such an awesome day without noticible flaws. Im really happy and I thank everyone. From my classmates, to my interact bods and my friends all over. Specially to my family. I love you guys so much.

Now that im 19 now, ppl expect to be wiser..
